Midjourney opened to the public in March 2022 as part of an early wave of AI-powered non-code imaging models. In November 2022, Midjourney has begun alpha testing the Version 4 of its image text translation model, available to subscribers on Discord, a popular chat app.
Version 4 delivers more detailed and high-quality results compared to previous versions. It exhibits a distinct painterly quality in AI brush strokes and object formation. It’s as if the AI wields a spatula, crafting characters with broad, sweeping strokes, especially noticeable in the depiction of eyes and faces.
