The NFT craze has helped many female artists realize that they can use the power of Blockchain technology to touch countless audiences throughout the digital art and raise their voice for sustainable development and climate action.

Originally from Chile, Nico Lob​ lives in Korea. Nico is a graphic designer and digital storyteller who pulls together diverse stylistic influences and ties them together with warm, vivid colour palettes. Inspired by Western cartoons and Asian animation, Lob balances oddity and cuteness in the magical worlds that she constructs.

Lob brings her characteristic peculiarity to her work Final Stage, Finalist´ artwork at DigitalArt4Climate Art Competition 2021 that communicates the dire need to take action against the forces that are destroying our planet.

“The planet is facing a harsh sentence to death, a miserable disease. We must be the cure. The color, the shapes, the beauty, and life is vanishing in front of our eyes. Do not let this disease reach the final stage,” explains Lob.

The unusual creatures living in Nico´s brilliant imaginary world are often appreciated as a fair blend of mystery, spirituality and anime, while her drawing style most likely fits with words like chaos, alternative, oniric, and misfit.

Lob started working with Exquisite Workers in early 2021 and has participated multiple times in the NFT Exquisite Corpses supporting the SDG 13 “Climate Action”.

Recently Nico has been invited by DoinGud, a community-curated platform inspired by and aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to join the NFT drops on SDG 1 “Global Poverty” (released on May 18, 2022).
